（中央社記者陳至中台北2日電）2016總統教育獎頒獎典禮今天下午舉行，56位得主將進入總統府接受表揚，這也是總統蔡英文上任後首度頒獎。
2016總統教育獎評選期程在政黨輪替前，教育部於於5月18日公布得獎名單，按照慣例由現任總統親自頒獎，原排定7月8日舉行頒獎典禮，遇到颱風停班停課，改為今天下午舉行。
今年總統教育獎有315人報名，通過初審155人，最後實地訪視後選出56人，包括大專8人、高中職12人、國中18人、國小18人。
總統教育獎得主的背後各有不凡的人生故事，有人克服自身殘疾，有人則是家庭發生變故，但相同點都是不放棄自己的人生，努力汲取知識、學習技藝、突破體能侷限。
教育部將總統教育獎得主的故事集結成冊，並透過網站、媒體報導等方式，榮耀得主和其家庭，並鼓勵更多有類似際遇的青年學生，勇於面對自己的人生。相關名單可參考教育部網站。1050802
